A series of clear plastic "aligners" are made that fit snugly on the upper and lower teeth. These are easy for the patient to put on or remove. They are precision made so that each single aligner in a series places gentle pressure on the teeth in the direction that improves alignment. Each one is worn for a prescribed period of time, then the next aligner in the sequence is worn, until the teeth have been gently re-aligned over 12 -24 months, and the new shape of the teeth line is permanent.

These aligners are clear, so it is very difficult to see them when they are in use. The natural color of your teeth shows through. You can remove them for eating, drinking, flossing, and brushing. It's important to wear them consistently or the process will take longer.
